History

The Laura Donovan School was built in 1968. It was named in honor of Mrs. Laura Donovan who taught in Freehold Township for 54 years.  Donovan is located in a suburban area of New Jersey which at one time was mainly farmland.  Laura Donovan School is a K-5 school, with approximately 450 students attending. Our mascot is Pawlie the Tiger. Our mission statement is as follows:  All students will be leaders of their own learning, who are actively engaged and curious members of a global society.
